Another great night on beta with some pals from Indignation! Found more bugs, tried new stuff....

They kneecapped Vindi so hard he's like a free loot piniata! He died easily, we even brought his 2 guards for some extra fun! Sorry no SS, yours truly overslept a tad.

We went for Statue next, he underwent some changes in the last patch, which made him mucho harder. Despite this, we got him to 8% (a vast improvement over last week's 86%). We'll be back for him later, even though I expect him to get adjusted downward.

We then went back for a rematch with King Tormax - who was the same as our last attempt. As promised, we came back with a new game plan. He proved to be no match....yielding up some tasty loot on our first attempt.

We moved on to ST next in the evening - suffice to say we got enough lances to equip every paladin on the server. MoTG, Prog, FA all dead. Here's a few pics cuz I was bored -

We went back for our old pal Tuk next. While we've been able to kill him consistently we've been working to further refine the fight. He went down easier than before with the tweaks, and yielded up...more lances! Well he had a few other items, but nothing too major sadly.

We ended the night by pulling a warder who had a pretty severe little bug. We pretty much got face-melted. Oh well, part of the fun, hopefully it will be fixed when we go back. This is part of the reason we do beta - because we want bug-free, enjoyable content when Velious is launched. So far beta itself has been tons of fun despite the bugs - special thanks to all the hard working staff who've put so much time into it.

We'll be coming back for the other warders shortly - stay tuned!

I've really enjoyed these scheduled Beta nights. It's a nice change of pace from the grinds of Live.

Yet another day on beta. Yet another series of adventures with some of our Indignation friends.

Today was a relatively boring night in terms of updates, but a relatively great night in terms of smoothness. We cleared all of HoT - chain pulls of named and trash until they were all dead. Then we went for Doz - once again smooth as butter. Four tears again - soon we'll have some quests completed for everyone to drool over.

Having figured out some new things to try for Statue, we went back to give him another try. We were short a few classes but we have figured out this new, pretty much un-slowable statue. We'll come back with a full raid and take him down. We were short about 15 from Thursday but still managed to get him to ~25% or so.

Vindi...also on farm-mode, sadly no BP tonight. Soon our tanks will all have those delicious bps.

That's it for now, see you next Thursday with some new kills!

Exclamation

Our first night in NToV! Previously we'd faced some of the easier NToV mobs- Iki and Eashen solo at the zone-in for GM testing, but we'd never sat foot into NToV itself....until tonight.

Up first was an encounter with the ellusive Ikatiar the Venom in his native environment. After dispatching his guards he went down with few issues. Loot, and my camera angle, was incredibly unspectacular.

Our favorite blue drake, Eashen of the Sky, returned to take a knee to us. Not much to say except he dropped some pallie loot and only gated once (opps). On the flip side, he was much more photogenic than his buddy above.

Since we were right by him, we decide to take a stab at the gatekeeper of NToV - Mr. Hot-dog himself, Aaryonar. Our force was a bit undersized, but lo and behold a long fight reduced him steadily with few casualties. We were feeling pretty confident about the fight as his hp bar rounded the home stretch to the promised-land...then he pulled out a trick that seems to be unique to P99 - he gated. Hilarity ensued with a couple of flurry drakes and I'm sure you can guess the rest. I did manage to capture a screenshot of him licking his wounds up over the hill after. Oh well, next time...

Last but not least, I thought it might be fun to start adding random quotes taken from our members in the time honored news update quote tradition. I'll take one inspired by our adventures in NToV tonight, and welcome Argh as the first member to land on the quotes section. He leaves us all with this nugget of wisdom -

That's all for this time. We're still looking for some good people to round out our Velious-focused crew. If you're looking for some fun, the challenge of raiding Velious (not the faceroll zergs we see in Kunark), and a group of people with a vision for where they want to be when Velious drops, come check us out. We'll take a look at anyone who makes a good milkshake, but we're especially interested in Rogues and Wizards, with a secondary nod to a couple reliable Clerics, Necromancers, and Magicians. Heck, I never thought I'd say this, but I wouldn't pass up a Paladin either. Turns out they do have their uses in Velious!
