No, they're saying the journey is actually relevant in games like EQ. It really isn't in WoW since WoW truly "begins" at max level. Defiant gear
manages to make the game more WoW-like than WoW. That's how colossally bad you've misinterpreted this situation.
Maybe we should eliminate named mobs dropping loot? That makes the game a camp-fest, right? We should make those important pieces of loot the product of a quest line that requires a certain number of faction medallions you earn by grouping in dungeons. Oh, and we're installing NPCs that can automatically group people together and teleport them to dungeon entrances. Just to make the circle complete.
