1) stop sharing account information. It gets harder and harder each time to lift one finger to help people who don't protect themselves.

2) that being said, if you strip someones account/delete their character/delete their items/plat, you are breaking the rules. go look around in the pnp around the fraud section. its a hilariously broadly defined rule that we can throw just about any malicious act into that is not covered anywhere else.

3) if you care about the server you wont do this shit because it just takes away valuable CSR time from other people who actually need help. Also, if you strip someones account, or get stripped by someone, do NOT come asking for me to hurry up or work faster or anything like that. i will suck up as much of your time as i damn well please because you are sucking up my time that should be spent on other peo~ple who legitimately need GM assistance. I get to them as quickly as I can but they get dealt with and put in the same line as everyone else's petition. If you can't accept this then don't share info/strip accounts.

Well said. People need to stop acting like lunatics. This is the 4th account stripping in the last month, people need to start eating bans.

As to people getting they're items back that is a question mark with each case. But Account stripping has ALWAYS resulted in a ban. There is like 10 ambiguously worded TOS rules they could throw at account stripping.

You been here since day one, and you didn't think you'd get catch a banstick up your ass... pure retardedness.

No one took a ban when my accounts got stripped. Actually the only action taken against a player because of that was a 2 week suspension for me the victim of the theft.

Hard to argue against that. How long as it been since weve been told not to share accounts, 2 years?

If the account's been brute forced, i guess dish out permabans but knowing Terp's character i wouldnt put any kind of money on that scenario. If youre gonna put time in there to investigate, id do thorough research and if you can prove it wasnt brute forced then id permaban every character Terp ever touched with any regularity, just to make an exemple out of wasting a GMs time and sharing accounts.

There really should be a clear rule either way: either the GMs will always ban, track down and return items, or always ignore it and say "tough, you shared your info so deal with it".

Make a clearly defined rule, and either way it will happen less. If ppl know they will get banned & all items will be returned, then what's the point? On the other hand, if stripping is "legal" or a "no csr" situation, then there will be less account info shared, and less toons stripped.

Because the rules are written so that GMs can have it both ways, you might think it helps you do your job better.. But really it just creates more work for the GMs, on an already understaffed project.

As much as I don't like to get in to the whole you should do your job/hobby this way... Pudge is right.. I get the impression gms don't want to touch red because it is a pain in the Ass due to shit like this. So just make it easier for yourself.. make a clear rule. You share your info it's your problem. Deal with it.. but not in this case obv cause terp shud get his shit back. Pretty bad when last week vibrate eats ban for strip but as of right now nothing at least publicly has been done so far to help terp. Going forward I think clear cut rules is the way to make your life easier.. anything vauge and this community will just eat it up and give you a headache
