I have a theory that the mobs are spawned in batches. This might explain the streaks. Say the server creates a table for the Manastone camp like this theoretically:
Every 400 mobs 100 will be EE, of the 100 EE 5 will have MS. Where those 5 fall is random and where those 100 EE will spawn is random. This would allow control over a large data set that would always back out to supposed spawn/ drop rates. Changing the batch size would change the streakiness (I think).

as a firm believer in karma.. just wanted to add that I remember grouping with Jherin - i added him to my NeverGroupWith list of GINA triggers. He didnt train anyone or break any rules but was generally annoying and a baddie. spent most of the time AFK exp leeching then returning to loot. the leader of the group decided to break the group up and reform without him/her. there's my contribution to the mmorpg karmic wheel.

You lost any cred when you admitted to playing on takp, a server with less then 300 ppl that has a 3 player boxing allowance which means probably not even 200 real ppl playing at a time.
