Again it is pretty straight forward. Don't try to guilt or shame people into paying more than they want to for a port. Just ask a price, and let them eat dirt if they don't want to pay the price.
Complaining that your "charity" "donations" "tips" are not high enough, is invalid, since you chose to base your happiness on an unspecified sum that you feel is mandatory though never needs mentioning. I am just theoryquesting I pay a million plat for a port when I want or need one. I agree that being stingey is rude, but getting upset when you don't name a price is stupid.

Waiters are paid a salary + tips and don't have an option to tell each table "you're gunna give me 30% tip or you can take a fucking hike.
Everquest druids can do whatever the fuck they want and they choose to complain about the size of the "donations" they receive.

in either case, I do personally believe in courtesy.
I just don't have much sympathy for a complaining port-for-plat guy who doesn't get as much as he wanted, when he doesn't specify how much is required not to make him irate.

If you're tipping 100pp when you could be tipping 20pp, then you are most likely poor and bad at the game. Do you understand how that works?

I mean on the one hand anyone is obviously welcome to take a deal of a buff only for a port. On the other, do you really want to nickel and dime people?
