We have this weird fetish with guns in the U.S.
Can't even ban them because few will turn them in and there are too many out there. We also have a horrible track record with treating mental illness, which is what is causing these yearly mass shootings. It's not the guns, it's the fucked up kids. There are way, way more responsible gun owners that don't go out mass shooting people. There is no solution to this. The guns are here to stay because there are too many rednecks that love their guns and hunting and other redneck shit. The mental health system can’t prevent these kinds of things
There have been multiple mass shooters, including the one before this, that were detained temporarily in a psychiatric facility and questioned, then released The ONLY shooters the mental health system can stop are ones too psychotic to understand the benefits of lying to professionals. So maybe someone like Jared Loughner could have been stopped if his university 51/50/Baker Act’d him. Or possibly the Aurora movie shooter could have been stopped that way, although he was functioning at a level where his brain could still comprehend the benefits of lying and do it convincingly What have I said multiple times on these forums? For the mental health system to work, it requires the patient coming from a place of honesty. Honesty about what their thoughts are and what they have been doing. If someone lies, the entire system breaks down and cannot help them. And there is a lot of lying which makes the system seem impotent. Either lying to manipulate the system or lying to escape/avoid it Someone with no criminal history with a low or higher IQ who is not psychotic and understands the benefits of lying cannot be prevented from doing something like a mass shooting | ||

44,000 videos of people getting into fights on airplanes in the last year. People keep saying that in America we have the second amendment and in these other countries they don’t have the second amendment and they don’t have mass shootings will let me tell you something about those countries versus America in America I’m the fucking boss and you’re the fucking piece of shit idiot that works for me I don’t care who you are and I don’t care who I am I am the boss because this is America and there’s 320 million of me and all of you are my bitch. That’s why we have so many of these shootings. Because we teach each other at age one to fight each other to get our way. It’s survival of the fittest and some of unfit will just try to ruin the game when they’re losing. You embrace Socialism you embrace taking care of people you embrace all that shit and you won’t have these mass shootings. Maybe will not have all the amazing innovation we have in the United States like inventing Facebook and social media all the other bullshit that we invented with all of our amazing libertarian innovation!! Meanwhile China built a small sun a year ago… and we use their social media. S m f h | ||
