Gendry will be back, if not this season, then definitely for season 5. Didn't Davos tell him to "have a bowl of brown" for him when he gets back to King's Landing? So he'll be hiding out in Flea Bottom.

Of course, Varys will find out he's there and finally more of Gendry's destiny will unfold with Varys holding this trump card close until he is needed.

I'm assuming this season is going to end with Tyrion's escape and Tywin taking a golden shit. In that case, we'll get an eyeful of Varys. I'm guessing he'll be part of the trial as well.
