Australian crime was in a nose-dive long before the gun collection. Statistically the collection and crime is not correlated in this case.

A semi-auto rifle like an AR-15 is commonly available weapon that is highly configurable, affordable, and effective. If you have an AR-15 in your home, that home is very well-defended.
We don't have any tyrants in the US now, but if we did the solution would be to kill them(or their much more vulnerable supporters and their families). Semi-auto rifles, widely distributed among the population, are again the most effective weapon available for doing that and banning them would increase the probability of the rise of a tyrannical government. No one wants to see schools shot up and at the same time no one wants to see the government murder its citizens wholesale. It's worth exploring policies that allow you to protect against both.

We have plenty of tyrants in the US. NRA, AIPAC, Lockheed, Goldman Sachs to name a few
Again, not asking for a ban. 18 year olds are dumb as shit. I hope y'all can acknowledge that

Yes 18 year olds are dumb but they are adults and have just as much right to be secure in their person as 19 year olds and 50 year olds. Are you proposing that 18 year olds receive heightened scrutiny when they go to purchase a weapon?

But sorry, your ideas have been laughed at for years and would stop exactly 0% of mass shootings and are just a new law that bring us one step closer to dicatatorship. Funny how your family fled from a dictatorship and now you support incramental change of america into the same failed country you are from. heres a test (for anyone here to try) to find out if you are a complete retard: 1. do you think that minor tweaks in gun laws will stop mass shootings? yes? = retard no lol! = not retard end of test

Yes, raising the age to legally purchase a firearm to 25 is exactly the same as proposing the Islamic Republic of America
I guess I'm the retard between the two of us

Our country is built on the idea that we have the right to rebel against tyrannical government. We had to do it once before and it would be the height of hypocrisy to say future American's shouldn't have that ability and freedom.
The founding fathers came from the french enlightenment type thinking. They put the 2nd amendment in because the nature of the beast that is government is to support and make government bigger, not necessarily serve the people. The public having guns is a check and balance on the government. Without it the government steam rolls the public. And that should be very scary considering what is happening in western europe where natural populations are being replaced and they don't have free speech laws. Good example- during WW2 nazi's were able to go door to door, round up Jews and walk them right into death camps. They were able to do this because Germany was disarmed. You better believe things would of went differently if they had guns. If you're an American and you hate guns you should think about moving to a new country because our identity on a very base level is built through the right to own guns.
