Nah, Ehrlich went to find Gavin in China while Gavin was going all Buddhist find yourself bs. Ehrlich found Gavin told him what was up and Gavin went back to his old self. While at a telephone, opium den, Gavin felt Ehrlich was hindering heir progress back to Silicon Valley, so while Ehrlich was getting high, Gavin paid for the 5 years, roughly, of opium and walked out the door back to the USA. Ehrlich's not coming back because Mike Judge knows that his show won't be on for five more years.

All of that season was written well before Miller's being accused of sexual assault too. Mick's just envious of Maer's and Xank's forum-love for each other.
