Anybody ever try the Elvis sandwich?

Peanut Butter, Bacon, and Bananas. Grilled on white bread.

What was he smokin?

edit: @Patriam yeah BLT is like the ultimate form of bacon, I like a little mayo on mine to balance out the acid of the tomato. Top tier sandwich indeed!

I think if the sandwich is not dripping, you're doing it wrong.

Ham & cheese, especially melted cheese, is hard to beat.

But something people have not talked about yet:

the fucking bread.
STOP MAKING GOOD SANDWICHES WITH WHOLE WHEAT BREAD.
A good sandwich is either artisan bread or the cheapest white bread you can get our hands on.

(or brioche, brioche can really up any sandwich)

I can agree with this. Wheat bread and stuff with oats and nuts in it is for toast!

people often overlook the bread.
and condiments, even.
Like of course, fresh tomatoes, fresh lettuce and peak bacon, for a BLT but what about the mayo?

I have one of those mixer and it takes roughly 20 seconds to whip up fresh mayo from this baby.

Good organic, free range egg (I'm not one of those organic idiot but obviously, this is the highest quality you can get). Grab the yolk. Add a dash of quality mustard, dijon is best. Salt. pepper. (white pepper shine here) and whisk as fast as you can while slowly dripping oil in there. It'll emulsify and when you are satisfied with taste/quantity, drop in like 2-3 drops of white vinegar and call it a day.

Best sandwich ever now, hands down.
Especially if you went for that quality bread.
Like brioche, or potato bread.

P.S: if you never had potato bread, are you even that white? Also, you're missing out.

My favorite sammich is pastrami, provolone, lettuce, and a dijon mustard on some kind of wheat bread with the seeds and shit in in.

Optionally, grilled version minus lettuce and plus additional cheese.
