And was a real election? Or more like a "in communist russia, volunteering chooses you" kinda thing. I mean, there the obvious "birthright" thing, but kingdoms didn't exactly go to first of kin in every situation. Aren't most of our "rulers" descended from royalty one way or another?

Its all conflationary. The point being, once you go Blanquiist in hopes of said leaders someday, hopefully, realizing the communist manifesto, the likelihood of said leaders ever benevolently divesting themselves of absolute power is near-zero. What you have, under a lenninist/blanquiist state is nearly identical to Feudalism, in all but name.

Dont be so quick to hand away whatever semblance of freedom you have left. It's a lot harder to get it back than you could possibly think. How many times has democracy materialized out of an empire throughout known world history, again?
