You are the first one here to acknowledge that this is not a "conflict", this is a war that neve ended up in peace, it is an occupation.

To answer your question, if Mexico fired rockets at you, it would not be so simple.
It is easy for Israel to strike back at Gaza and the West Bank because the war is not over but to bomb Mexico into oblivion because a rogue faction fired rocket at you would be illegal by world standard. Unless Mexico was in on it, which would be your point of attack.
