If we want discourse media that allow the little guy to affect change, we well and truly need not to puritanically scrub commercial websites, with only ultra-massive companies able to regulate discussion boards adequately, to avoid being filed in the "porn" category. I'm all for free markets. But, what we have now (at least in America) is not the free market. It's monopolistic corporations in bed with big government. This includes the media, including social media platforms, such as Facebook, twitter, youtube, etc. In order to keep their far left globalist agenda going forward, they try to silence those they disagree with. Then, when there are alternate social media platforms that promote free speech (such as gab), the hosting providers or pay platforms drop them.

I despise censorship. But that is exactly what is happening all around the world. In the US, the far left globalists are trying all they can to censor opposing voices. They twist what people say, make up lies, change history to silence alternative views. I feel we are in the beginning stages of Orwell's 1984, with political correctness being new speak (determining what words are acceptable from one moment to the next).

Exactly. Central banks are the scourge of the free society. They should never have bailed out the banks in 2008. They needed to be taught a lesson. Sure, we may have sunk deeper, but would have come out of it better in the end. Instead, what both Bush and Obama did will likely bite us when the next bubble happens, unless Trump is able to do something. But, I doubt that now the Democrats have the House.

Because the private sector can be used to oppress us just as well as any government can.

Well I am a libertarian. But, if government, at least the US government, followed what the founders intended, these monopolistic corporations wouldn't have all the loopholes and favors the government bestow upon them. Then, maybe the little guy can compete and we'd have a real free market. After all, the biggest obstacles for the little guy, compared to the big corporations, are regulations and license (and other) fees. Big corporations have huge legal departments to negotiate the regulations and have the capital for the fees. And guess what, many times it's the corporations that push the regulations and fees to keep out the little guy. And don't get me started with corporate subsidies.
