Default UI Issues with Spell gems

Trying to use different Spell gems from PoP/Luclin era but It comes out jumbled ingame, spells are like weird looking or artifacting or Showing like shield of thorns as a arm and Root as the shield of thorns.
Am I doing something wrong?

I've tried

Spell gems are sorted by order, not any sort of spell ID; as such, when you use a luclin file for a classic server, they come out randomly. It’s not artifacted so much as it doesn’t fit the cut out.

If I remember right DuxaUI has a Luclin spell gems option. Download the installer for it from this forum and run it with luclin spell gems option selected then copy the gemicons01 and 02 .tga files from the Duxa folder into the UI folder you're using. Should just need 01 but copying 02 wont hurt.

Like Jeff said the game bases it on their location on those .tga images and just glancing at that first link you posted they aren't ordered right for P99 and that's your problem.

Is it possible I can make my own set of spell gems through a program exactly? I'd like to take the the luclin or PoP era ones and get them to line up an work for P1999 if possible?
