Default Game pauses / jumps momentarilly from who or logs

I have this issue on my new machine that when I'm running logs if I /who the zone or have alot of text being written to logs the screen flicks/pauses/jumps..

Issue is gone if I turn logs off. I have tried empty log folder, reinstalling.. cant seem to fix it any other way that turning off logs

Any idea how to fix this???

This isn't an easy fix. Sometimes you'll find the "pause" can be someone zoning in. It happens on the latest computers.

For things like faster loading times, a solid state drive (SSD) would definitely help but it's an expensive solution and the jumpyness might not stop even if you've got the latest Alienware all-singing, all-dancing setup.

if you use WIN 10, tell Windows Defender to NOT scan your EQ folder

Yes its a new and singing all dancing computer that shouldn't be doing this so I'll try the windows defender suggestion and report back.

RESOLVED: Running P99 as an administrator and setting CPU priority to Real time appears to have fixed my issue

That shouldn't be required. Did you happen to try watching resource monitor on your cpu and drive to see any irregularity during these 'spikes'/pauses?
