Try going into the main EQ directory and find the eqgame and everquest applications. Right click > Properties > Compatibility (2nd tab at the top) > Check the box that says "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and select Windows XP (SP3) from the dropdown.
I'm running Windows 8.1 and that smoothed out a lot of the crashing issues I was having.

try this:
Code:
C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe /C START "EQGAME" /low /affinity 1 F:\EQLite\eqgame.exe patchme

I'm having a issue with the character creation screen. I'm getting "your spell file is out of date" and a "Errorcode Sp-1" I've used the spell files you've posted on the thread for said files.
I've done the duxas install with changing the eqhost readme file for the pro99 server login. I have no other problems up to this point. If anyone has any knowledge about this problem i'd be very happy to hear it. Thanks.

It often happens from a weak connection to server.
