Question Joining Red

Hey Red players I am really interested in playing on the PvP server! I just have a few questions if anyone is able to answer them or direct me to a thread that can answer them.

I am mostly wondering what the class situation is, I am not trying to pick the most OP class by any means but I want to play something that has a lot of fun tools at its disposal. I'd also like to avoid playing a high populated even if necessary class. From what I have read Clerics seem pretty cool because of their ability to survive and support a buddy, at the same time I wouldn't mind being able to kill someone myself.

Any feedback is appreciated!

Shaman is best pvp class at the moment, there aren't a lot of them, and they are desperately needed in velious.

Cleric is always in demand as well and is great in pvp as long as you realize you won't be getting many kill shots (at end game at least).

My personal opinion would be to go shaman because they solo, are the best pvp class in the game right now, and are great in pve.

Could you elaborate on shamans, what makes them the best?

Right now debuffs are out of whack so a shaman can land spells like blind/root on people no matter how much MR they have. If you don't cast a debuff on someone normal DD spells won't even land if the person has decent MR.

This might be changed but even if it does they have good utility and can deal enough damage in PvP. If you know how they work on Blue you should be able to imagine how that would translate onto Red. You can cheetah to get away or catch an opponent. Cure disease/poison, heal, strong dots, instant click SoW once you get boots in case you get dispelled.

Do you know what the pure casters are like?
