Default Runtime Error?

Hey all,

I am getting a weird error message when I try to open P99, the full message says:

"Runtime Error!

Program C:\Program Files (x86)\folder\eqgame.exe

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information"

What is bizarre is that this happened a few weeks ago, I completely uninstalled the game and reinstalled fresh, then I was fine for about a week. Now I go and try to play and I am getting this error message. I haven't changed anything about the files or my computer in any way, so I have no clue why this is popping up after the game has been installed for a few days.

Any ideas as to what could be causing this?

I'm getting hte same thing on a new computer I'm building for a friend.

Win 10
AMD 5600G using the APU (for now)
Malwarebytes

I was able to login once, then I copied my UI files into the character then it popped up...

Removing the compatibility fixed it for me - but now the game crashes often when logging to character select and trying to log back in

This has happened to me as well
removing compatibility lets me log in
Once I'm in I turn compatibility back on and game doesn't crash at character select
It's a pain in the ass
