I'm fine up until 7:30 in the youtube video. At that point she opens the "P99files30" folder. I downloaded the "Project 1999.zip" from the link in the OP, but when I open it up it becomes an application with the everquest graphic, and not a folder like the one shown in the youtube video. So I can't complete the installation. Anyone have any ideas on what to do?

Forget the p1999.zip. Use the P99Files42.zip (current build as of May 3rd 2016) then follow the rest of the video. The only thing "project 1999".zip is good for is the icon.

Copied all the game files, etc from the old wrapper to the new one, including the patch files, set the Windows EXE to eqgame.exe and EXE Flags: patchme. The game runs now for me. 2013 MacBook Air 13-inch OS X Yosemite 10.10.5

I got everything to work, except that when the client launches it doesn't connect me to a server. Does anyone have a fix for this? Thank you.

What software are you using to run P99? Are you using Wineskin?

Anyone have trouble with not seeing spell effects when playing on their mac? I followed the youtube video linked above and it worked great, but for some reason no spell effects appear when casts. Any tips?
