Classic UI and Crash on Camp

So there's a problem that quite a few of us have with both the default and vellious UIs; camping out a character consistently results in a crash to desktop. This problem doesn't occur when using qqUI or some of the other custom UIs available.

I totally understand the reasoning behind the forced vellious UI on green, I'm just wondering if something can be done to resolve the CTD issue before that's locked down. If there's any way I can assist with information or troubleshooting, I'm happy to help.

My crash on exit was solved by running eqgame.exe in Windows XP (SP3) compatibility mode.
