Jamaica
Hello all,
I've promised myself to become more world traveled, and to travel once a year. Maybe bi-annually if it's a far and long visit that year. I'd like to return to Jamaica. My usual travel buddy has other travel plans for next year. I'm expecting to fly to Jamaica in January 2020. Would anyone like to join me? There is a townhouse in Montego Bay that I enjoy a whole lot. It's not a resort. I visit for the tropical weather during a very cold period back home. I primarily visit to meet up with some local friends. I tend to spend a lot of my time there with the locals, but you would be welcome to join us. You may also do your own thing. I'd like to split the cost of the townhouse as it has three beds. Seems silly to book it all for myself. I'd like to share the experience. A friend's family works for a primary tour company in Jamaica. The last visit I was hooked up with an amazing rate to have a driver for anytime to anywhere on the island. I can't expect that to be the case again next time, but I kind of believe it will be the case. You'd be charged your own flat fare if you'd like to take advantage of that as well. Likely at the rate I pay. I didn't stay long enough to visit the whole island, so I hope to next visit. We've got plenty of time to figure this out. Reply here and we can chat. I'd prefer to respond to those serious about this vacation. I managed to spend only $1800 USD total; flight, accommodations and fun for an eight day stint in Jamaica. I likely will increase my budget for next year, but I know more now as to how to spend less if you need. I'd also like to stay for 10-12+ days next year. Somehow, 8 days felt too short.
