Default Killing Dorf Bandits Not Seeming To Help Rogue Faction

I made a silly mistake and killed clockwork gnomes in SolA and ruined my faction with the Dwarf Rogues in Kaladim. Now I'm KoS.

I saw from this thread (https://www.project1999.com/forums/s...t=miners+guild) and the Wiki that killing dwarven bandits in BB should raise faction with them (Miners Guild 628).

For example, killing https://wiki.project1999.com/Crytil_Dunfire is supposed to raise the Miners Guild 628 faction by +10. I've spent hours killing these bandits and I do get the raise faction message for Miners Guild 628. I've probably killed 300 of them.

According to the faction guide (https://wiki.project1999.com/Faction) +3000 should get me off KoS with them but Mater is still Scowling at me.

And according to his wiki page (https://wiki.project1999.com/Mater) he has no faction.

So either the number of + faction get for killing bandits is wrong in the wiki or Mater has no faction and there is nothing that can be done to repair it with him.

Can anybody shed some light on this? I don't want to keep killing bandits for nothing.

Does it give you the faction hit message when the bandits die?

It could be the hit / kill is too low.

Alternatively, perhaps you have a negative modifier for race or deity, meaning you will need to earn 3000 + n faction to break out of scowls (where n is the sum of your negative faction modifiers).

Finally, it may be the case that wiki contains 'incorrect' information on the current in game faction level amounts.

According to Allak, the 'a Dwarven Bandit' only gives +1 faction.

The names guys, like Crytil or PegLeg give +10.

So if the majority of your 300 kills are the regular bandit trash, your math is going to be off.

I'm a Dwarf / Rogue and I've only been killing the named Dwarf Bandits who say +10 in their wiki page. And yes, I'm getting the "your faction standing with Miners Guild 628 got better" message when I kill them.

Their names are:

The wiki's faction numbers are off in most cases. A lot of the "+10's" are actually +1. Note that negative faction hits are almost always greater, so it's usually the case that you kill something a few times taking -10 or greater each time, and then have to kill hundreds to recover the lost faction.

I ran into this while working my cab faction. I was killing "+10" bandits yet still had to kill 4000 of them in order to max my faction (from max negative).

I did this same thing! Had to sit at the Pegleg camp for a very very long time to fix this. Trust me, it works just takes forever.

This. Youre most likely getting +1 per kill. If youre lucky its actually +3. You will need to kill a lot more than you think.

What do you need from the dwarf rogues anyways? Far as I remember you only need to pick pocket one of them for the epic which you can do easily just using sneak if youre KoS (at least I think, dont remember if theres other mobs right by him).

Yeah, I need to do the pickpocket thing for my epic but when I try sneaking and pickpocketing other KoS mobs, as soon as I hit pick pockets, my hide and sneak turn off, even if I'm behind the mob, and they immediately attack. Am I doing something wrong?
