I just spent all day - stepping back in time to 1999.

It wasn't the graphics or the balance necessarily but the people (though the old skele's, running in 640/480, and old buff/spell icons are pure gold). I think all of us here are very lucky to know each other even if we've never met, yes we have a game in common, but it's the truest spirit of human adventure that it brings out that I think is the magic of classic.

The EC tunnel was alive again! I met several amazing people willing to help and share with me and while I may have set out to see if I could hawk an HQ cat pelt for anything or to try to get another backpack - I ended up getting handed an incredible 2-Hander, being flung magically to another continent and in the thick of an orcish citadel.

We got a full group going and had a great time with great attitudes. The fights were tough and required some focus! Everyone put everything into it the entire time and we were rewarded with rapid XP and before I knew it, the day was gone - Up 3 levels (lvl 8 now), more than half of my cloth is buffed up with raw-hide, epic 2-Hander in hand and a bulging friends list.
