People are always overthinking WW3 with the North Koreans and the Chinese because it's exciting and new. But why complicate things?

Russia has more nuclear weapons than all the other nations put together. Yup it's true. And world conflicts tend to start...well...in the eastern part of Europe if you will.

Someone will be fired upon, and things will escalate. It's a populated area, there will be civilian casualties very quick. Air defense systems will naturally come online and passenger jets will fall out of the sky. It's going to be a shit show. A big glowing nuclear shit show.

I wouldn't worry though, wikipedia assures me the effects will be 'transitory'.

The people at the border are Syrians, Afghanis, Iraqis, Kurds...well from that part of the world. They are predominantly single men who have been enticed by the Byelorussian government that western European nations would welcome them with open arms because that's how they are. They furnished these people with transportation, temporary visas (dressed up as 'hunting permit visa' I kid you not) and directions to the Polish border. Once there they were shoved across the border at gunpoint and beaten if they tried to go back. Poland put up like 140 kilometers of barbed wire fence, closed the entire border to the media, and sent in the soldiers. These guys don't want to be in Poland, or even in Germany, most want to get into the UK. They are pawns in a Russian game of Who Owns Europe Now?

If people really examine the (unelected) EU leadership they wouldn't see the EU as anything better than Russia. They might come across as the good guys but member states are treated like shit if they break the "rules". Imagine democratic countries under the flag being fined/sanctioned by people who were never elected to run the show.

Poland is daring to do something that isn't allowed in the name of nationalism and protecting it's borders because the EU leadership won't... lets see how that plays out.
