Default Crashing 70-80% of the time when camping out

it's just the generic client/launcher etc. I've changed nothing.

Does it always get to a certain part of the countdown before it crashes? Or is it random?

Its usually on log out. So the timer has finished, and rather than return to the character select screen the app crashes to desktop with a report error option.

I had changed the compatibility mode to winXP SP3 but got an error message on game launch. Changed to Win7 compatibility and so far *fingers crossed* no more crashes, but have only logged out twice since then.

It has been an issue since the first big UI patch, not sure how to fix it.

it's doing this on two entirely different computers with different operating systems (10 and xp).

I have been experiencing random EXTREMELY slow zone times or complete disconnects when zoning since that patch. I'll zone in 2-3 seconds 75% of the time, then randomly, i'll get a slow one which usually forces me to kill eqgame.exe and wait for de-sync.

My crash on camp issue was solved for me by right clicking on eqgame.exe and selecting Compatibility and then selecting Windows XP Service Pack 3 in the dropdown.

Weird. This seems to work so far on the 10 machine. I have the same problem on a machine running xp sp3, so it's all very strange. That one still has issues and trying compatibility for windows 95 or whatever doesn't work. Oh wells.
