Bump your wis/mana gear up as much as you can and be an undead wizard, its long but the mana you'll spend healing yourself could be spent finishing mobs quicker ^^

What mobs did you fight 40+ DCC? Did you wait for 44 to do spectres?

I started spectres at 39 - Turning of the Unnatural helped speed up the process because I could root rot (and pretty efficiently) if i started getting low on HP / mana and needed to med. This also allowed me to do more of the spectres.

By the time I was 44 I just went to oasis and could blow up 3 spectres with a full mana bar, would then med up and could clear 3 more before the first 3 respawned.

This xp was safe but slowed down (and got boring) so I bounced between spectres and lguk around supp/ass room.

Were you wearing any regen, or were you tanking purely off your hp/ac?

yeah, I went no regen item, no haste item, no clarity pretty much ever (red) and not too twinky of a weapon. I only had 55hp rings and dark elf cultural armor (high AC, decent str and wis). TBH the specs were hitting a lot harder than unrest basement mobs when i made the transition - resulted in a lot more rooting especially at 39 (and be prepared for some breaks too!).

Thanks for the details. Perhaps my cleric just needs a little more work on his AC to make specs viable then. Tried at 40 and there were just too many bad rounds to be worth it.

I wish I saw this thread earlier.

I made a cleric twink with ALL the bells and whistles, and it's a lot more fun than I thought it would be. I solo'd orc 1 at level 5, and went from 6-12 in befallen in like 15 minutes.
