Wow
This saga of lucimia game looks like the real deal. Looking forward to this more than pantheon at this point. Everything you guys talk about in regards to your intentions with the game really resonates with me.
Will definitely be keeping my eyes on it now! Thanks for sharing!

To the second: Glad you find it interesting. We're still a couple years away, so a lot of work still to get done. To the third: Risky, but can be rewarding if it's done right. But yeah, there is a downside in terms of the lot of folks who don't. Plus side, they are a manageable risk, from the broader perspective.

Our entire team can't wait for Pantheon. We're super excited to sink our teeth into what the VR team has going on. We loved EQ, loved Vanguard, and even though Brad is gone (RIP) we know the team is hard at work at continuing that legacy and we're just as ready as everyone else for them to finish so we can go crazy with their world.

Unironically, the last game I ever preordered was Vanguard. I'm kind of glad it was a massive disappointment, definitely woke me up early in my young adulthood at the carrot and stick promises of the industry.

I felt like Vanguard's music, taken as a whole, had a distinctly melancholy character to it--unintentionally appropriate for the reality of what happened to that game. A great many of the music tracks fit with in with a feeling of lost opportunity and missed potential. Danth

I didn't like vanguard because they changed druids from leather to cloth wearing casters and I was like DAMMIT I CHOSE DRUID IN THIS GAME BECAUSE I CHOSE A CLOTH WEARING CASTER IN EVERQUEST

If only Bloomberg's big dream was to make a perfect MMORPG rather than be president of the United States, we might again see a new masterpiece soon. But unfortunately, not a lot of the billionaires seem to be into gaming.
But that is what we need to get past this conundrum we are in. The reality is games aren't very attractive to investors. They take too much time to materialize profit. The profits are not so great to justify the time investment. It's not my opinion, its just math. Its a lot more profitable to invest in things like phone apps that do something that traditionally costs money for free. So we are looking for an idealist that would be willing to accept lower earning potential just in order to make a great game. Billionaires tend to be a bit older and all. People into games are usually under 40 ATM...so maybe someday idk. But unless the government subsidizes games (some logic believe it or not under the funding for the arts we have traditionally done), its a long way off. Maybe something out of North Europe will come about.
