Tips for Tani N'Mar

I have my 54 rogue (200 pick pocket skill) parked in Neriak at the rogue's guild. As often as I can, I log on at 6:00 pm game time. I hide and sneak into the guild and stand right behind Tani N'Mar. I watch him despawn at 7:00 pm. He respawns a minute later. I pick his pocket. Most of the time I get nothing. Twice I've gotten crap. I've done this 5-6 times. No parchment.

Am I doing something wrong?

That's just how it is. Keep trying. I could have sworn Tani had the more common spawn, but maybe I've just always gotten lucky with him.

There's no required skill level to pick any items from any mobs. Pick pocket skill only affects your chance to successfully steal an item and avoid detection and aggro.

Took me almost a week going in there off and on for a couple hours at a time. Ate 2 exp deaths because I was kos. Keep at it. Could take a while but you'll get it.

Tani took me several attempts just like you. Just keep picking until you don’t get anything and wait until the next pop. Good luck.

You can target him and stand on top of the rogue guild since there's no distance limit on the z axis to pp him through the floor. Might give you enough of a head start for the zone to avoid exp deaths.

Have a cleric buddy with you. I spent a night of picking. Just keep doing it til you get it. Run the course a few times to get to zone line. Cause sometimes the pathers will root ya.
