Frequent link dead --> character screen
Without any signs of lag whatsoever, I have been frequently going link-dead in all sorts of situations. The general characteristic is that they are without warning and take me to the character screen, not the server screen. So, normally, I'm able to log back in after a few seconds of the black screen of death ("YOU HAVE BEEN DISCONNECTED"). My internet connection seems okay, otherwise. I would say I LD about once or twice every hour, on average.
Any thoughts on this? Suggestions or help are greatly appreciated! | ||

The usual kind of stuff...
- Try turning off your firewall and antivirus (just to eliminate that as a possibility) - Are you on a wireless connection? Plug an ethernet cable in and see if that makes it more stable. - Have you reset your router recently? Sometimes that can help (aka "try turning it off and on again" [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]) - Have you tried any other non-P99 servers with it? PEQ etc. Might be worth a go for an hour just to see what happens. Does the F11 "lag meter" go down slowly and everything in the world disappears? Or are you just kicked all of a sudden? | ||
