Default variance

It's time that we finally implement variance to the red server. The timers need to be randomized to prevent zerging. It'll be much harder to amass a huge group of players if the times are unknown. Let's bite the bullet red.

implement variance and all of your wildest dreams will come true.

How exactly does variance result in everything becoming rainbows and unicorns?

Most guilds struggle as it is to field enough players to raid.
Nothing really prevents the largest guild from recruiting more to cover the additional spawn windows.

Not that it really matters as it sounds like many raid targets are not killed for hours or days after they spawn. Randomizing the spawn timer doesn't seem like it would have any impact on that.

Perhaps you could explain exactly how variance would make things better?
