You say that like blind faith hasn't been wrong about a tremendous amount of things too.

Anyways, you obviously don't understand faith considering the hatred you spew in its name, and you certainly don't understand science

No one claims blind faith is good, Jesus. This constant call back to “yeah but religion has caused harm in the past. Therefore your opinion on X isn’t valid”

It’s tiring and does nothing to move a discussion forward. Calling back to known disagreements is just a sling shit tactic that is empty of value, unless of course your only goal is to sow discord.

Framing the scientific method like something its practitioners have faith in, like a religion, represents a profound misunderstanding of the concept itself. Science being laughably wrong about things does not in any way impugn the integrity of the scientific method; science is specifically designed to be sequentially wrong, thereby producing increasingly better answers. The hilarious thing in you thinking that's some kind of dunk is that the only reason you're even able to recognize that science was wrong about something is because somebody came up with a better explanation, which was accepted. I have faith in science like I have faith in my car getting me to work in the morning. It's just a tool for discovering truths about our reality.

Science has nothing at all in common with religion, and that includes morality.

We agree. A lot of people do treat science like The Science. Surely you’ve noticed this. “Scientists” married to ideas. Egyptologists are the first that come to mind. Deny mountains of evidence because it’s not how they view it.

Your beginner understanding of faith is spot on. Time to level up. Certainly some are raised to never question God, that is wrong. The meaning of Israel is essentially one who wrestled with God. God understands our inherent desire to question, he hopes you see his works and come to him through that understanding. Jesus did not want blind servants, look at the apostles, they were not the most devout and committed, they had doubts and questions.
And so sayeth the book of circular references. Amen. Quoting ya book and the verses contained therin prove nothing. To me, it is a work of fiction. Contradictory in places, almost like it was writen by multiple people, pased on like a chinese whisper.
3/10 as a group high school assignment.

Will you get out of the way of progress already?!

What if Christianity never existed?

The Jews would have remained tiny minority in the Middle East and would have eventually been crushed by the Romans. The Roman empire would have lasted another five centuries.

Paganism would have become the dominate world religion.

With Islam never developing into anything significant.

Scientific discovery would have happened much faster. With the enlightenment period starting in the 12th century, Europe would start to resemble Asia, with a wide range of cultures and deities.
