People were rehired after 2008 for LESS money at Fortune 500 companies. Its only DECLINED in the face of 4.1 GDP growth. Why?

We went through rough times this past 8 years, and aren't likely to see a recession like this again in our lifetimes. There may be troughs along the way, but nothing like 2008.

I don't like the idea of corporate welfare anymore then the next guy. I don't blame Zucky for that though. I blame our government that has been in the business of picking winners and losers for the past 70 years.

An example would be, why don't we just go to a flat income tax? Say 10%. How simple would it be to own and operate a business instead of the horseshit we have to deal with today? Unfortunately Trump hasn't done anything to drain the Tax swamp. He is one of them on this one.

if the corporation is going to act in the best interest of the shareholder, then the employees need to be shareholders to even the playing field.

anything else is simply unfair. its not about socialism so much as common sense.


PROBLEM -

- Corp serves shareholder interests.

- Shareholder interests damage the livelihoods of employees. This is not disputable.

SOLUTION - Make employee shareholder.


Employee now directly benefits from all "cost-cutting" decisions the CEO makes. Problem solved. Corporate greed checked without needing to level taxes against the corporation in order to pay out hidden social costs/healthcare/Medicaid.

Its a capitalist solution.

The trouble is that this makes too much sense, Azzar. I agree with you tho'. Allow your workers to benefit and build retirements then they will work for themselves while benefitting the corporate entity. Now to sell it as a trickle down is a different matter that's more difficult than implementation of the practice.
