Little brick training today. Aiming for a mile swim and 40+ on the bike. Then I have to clear trees and take out a big wasp nest. The reward is I’m having a bonfire with some buddies, about 8 of us. Should be a great day as long as the rain holds off.

Just got back from a week at a resort in Spain and expected to gain, pleasant surprise on the scales, lost another kilo. Good food makes the difference!

Did another heat hike and 3 mile run (separate), but temps weren’t anything crazy today. Phone made it this time running at 6pm, still was 110ish out

I think having Runkeeper app running in background is what contributes to its temp as well, which I didn’t today

I’m guessing it’s under-counting calories because no way the phone could know the hiking slope

Greg can’t show it but I’m assuming this famous fitness influencer was crushed to death trying a 1 rep max back squat

I don’t even do 1 rep maxes anymore at my age. You really don’t need to at any age, you can calculate what your 1 rep max would be fairly accurately based on your normal set of 5-8 reps or whatever

Doing it all in one go or staying at Horse Camp/Helen Lake? Either way Godspeed it's a fun one. Looks like it's going to be great weather too.

Rangers actually recommended against Avalanche Gulch starting the day before our attempt. We went up Clear Creek on the east face and set up camp around ~8700'. Got up at 1:15a for the summit push but red flag warning started overnight, and there were literally 90mph+ gusts knocking hikers to the ground above 10k. We turned back at mushroom rock at about 13000'. I don't think anyone made the summit that day.

Next time I'm going earlier in the season so I can climb up and ski down AG.
