I drop transfer to myself all of the time. Especially when Mathiau is AFK in the tunnel.
One time I was disconnected, and it took a couple of minutes to log back on. My stuff was still there however. Another time someone had picked up my bag. Then I received it in a trade window. People are pretty honest for the most part. I have only had two people mess with me after logging onto my alt to receive the gear. They gave it to me though as I didn't freak out on them. If someone asks me to do a transfer I always do, and without trying to mess with someone. I know I appreciate it when someone helps me out. I'm more than happy to do it for them!

Hope this is enough on topic as not to be considered spam.
To all the people doing drop transfers or who doesn't know anyone trustworthy enough for them: If you see me around feel free to ask for help, for free. You can check some feedback about me in this thread. Thanks for your attention!

Shared Bank would be awesome.
I hate dropping stuff on the ground or asking for transfers. Don't care if it's "not classic", it would be hella-convenient and wouldn't really take away from "classic" experience, IMO. WoW got one thing right with their mail system.

... or you could just ask pretty much anyone who seems relatively trustworthy.
I've transferred shit probably at least 50 times and never had anything stolen. Even when I use lowbies who just got into my guild a few days prior (Knights Who Say Ni - pretty much invites everyone), they were always super cool about it.
