Maybe its:
Atlanta is a port city
Atlanta has a university
Atlanta is a major transportation hub
Atlanta has undergone major planning changes to incorporate green space and provided economic incentives for growth (like lower taxes for business)
Atlanta is the home to many major corporations (Coca Cola, CNN, Delta Airlines - see above)


Maybe Hollywood started filming in Atlanta because it started offering tax incentives for filming there all the way back in 2008.

Hollywood didnt impose anything on Atlanta that wasn't already there. Sorry but you cant blame California liberals on everything.

If rural America were as diverse as America's cities, there would be no Republican party.

Because with diversity comes understanding and humanization of "the other", and without the ability to demonize and create an "other" the Republican party has no platform.

There is no reason to fear those different from you once you understand we have more in common than we have differences. Any person who lives in a city understands and experiences this every day.
