news to me that secrets put malware into the patcher, it felt terrible to just download something and run it from the internet. EQEmu has a good process for the most part until the titanium torrents get infected.

doesn't p99 also read your processes?

P99 doesn't leak your internet search history when they're mad at you. Makes you wonder how far they're willing to go to snoop on other data though.

the DLL secrets wrote for rise of zek logs the name/size of processes, the file directory at which the binary is located, and browser tab names

the source code is public on github, feel free to go read it

the DLL this server uses is a different one written by naez, and secrets isn't involved in the development of this server whatsoever

oathb2 is mad because a few years ago, some guy named Outer jokingly said he knew about the cuck porn that oathb2 watches, and oathb2 did in fact like cuck porn, so he had a meltdown assuming that the staff of rise of zek told Outer about it
I will say that any eq emulator is gonna be flagged as malware because they search hkeys for showeq compilers and mac addresses for boxing.

With that said, you all are seriously unhinged nerds desperately in need of handjobs.

yes, they do basically the exact same thing that both naez's and secrets' antihax DLLs do, respectively

I recall a time when someone was hacking on blue99 while streaming on twitch.tv, and they got into a voice chat with Rogean. while on stream, Rogean then started listing out the file path to their MQ2 binaries, including their system name, and all of their browser tab names in an effort to "burn" them in front of their audience. Rogean also listed out file paths and file names of the pornography they had stored on their harddrive, although I think he was just bluffing.

also, none of these DLLs can see your browser history - they just see browser tab titles, and it's how they bust a lot of people for RMT (looking at known RMT websites while playing)

A lawsuit waiting to happen. I'm fairly certain there is no terms of use, etc that allows what most of these servers are doing. Just takes one mad powerful government official to bring down the FBI on them. Not joking either. CFAA. I've seen some decompiles of the file P99 uses and it is pretty limited to just the memory space of eqgame.exe but I didn't do that work myself so can't say for sure.

Very true, Perez-Melara, was placed on the FBI's Cyber Most Wanted list in 2013 for making a stalker program that did a lot of what these boxes are doing. Searching browser history is a disaster waiting to happen.

Anybody planning to try the new vztz releasing on the 10th BEWARE! They had Secrets make the patcher. If you played the RoZ pvp servers, you know Secrets put a Trojan in it to track your internet search history. He then posted different people who trolled him, their porn history.

He only claimed it scanned your internet browsing history. But please, please beware. Anybody who bank's online, PayPal and so on be very careful.
You have such a good reputation on these forums surely people will believe you!

It had nothing to do with his interactions with people, he simply made a dossier on everyone who played the server and sold it/shared it with other toxic members of the community. Its gonna be a hard pass for me.
