is ppl re-writing the history of the 90s, early 2000s, even 10 years ago

as this super racist time, like i'll have 20 year olds describe 2005 to me like america was still stuck in the 1850s and it's like no way? racism wasnt even popular in the early 90s and political correctness has been mainstream for most of my life and im 39 and grew up in the south and we still learned that racism is bad and the few racists in our community were pretty much shunned by everyone lmao
