Nothing to do with religion. Was not gathered by a pope. Was not given the mission by a pope. Was not given to members of the same religion to go slaughter another one. Got it.
It was a international group who had one thing in common, their religion. They were offered a piece of toilet paper that said "u go 2 heven" and they went and slaughtered for it.
