Look, this is not the first ZEM rotation thread, and it won't be the last either, because it's a REALLY GREAT IDEA. At the same time, it's also very unclassic: there was literally only one "ZEM adjustment" (that I can find at least) in the entire classic timeline: https://wiki.project1999.com/Patch%2...one_Experience. It came right after the start of Kunark ... which is to say "close enough" to when staff re-adjusted ZEMs here.

Asking for any further ZEM rotation would mean ignoring what's in the upper-left corner of the screen, so it seems clear to me that on Green at least there should be no further ZEM rotation (unless it's a "bug fix" of some sort, eg. someone finds proof that zone X should have a much higher/lower ZEM).

But ... Blue has long held out the possibility of custom content. Given this idea's popularity, and the fact that it would encourage people to see more of classic EverQuest than they otherwise would, it would seem like a shoe-in for custom content ... but then again, the fact that the devs haven't done it yet suggests that maybe they just don't like the idea as much as everyone else does.

Or maybe we all just have to wait a little longer for Blue custom content [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Yeah. It isn't classic to cycle zone experience modifiers but it would probably be a good idea along with a few other unclassic things to make the servers work better in 2020.

Lets face it, this project now has more years of classic everquest than everquest itself did. It is its own project and its own museum game and there should be some consideration given to improving the game. Definitely for Blue.

Great idea.

So many great dungeons are ignored. Rotate them to encourage trying new content.

This is a custom server. Many many changes have been made to differentiate this server from classic. ZEMs should 100% be adjusted, if not rotating then at least balance them. Difficult zones should get higher ZEM no question. Spreading the leveling population across the world is only beneficial to the server as a whole. Shouldn't have such a high variance of 170% in one zone and 85% in another equal zone.
