Default Can't seem to pet chain?

Both the pet window and command versions of killing your pet don't work while casting, and spamming it right when the new pet's cast finishes doesn't work either ("You can't have more than one pet at a time"). Is there something I'm missing?

It's been nerfed a few months ago, what you're missing is the fact that it still work from the macro panel.

Can't you just type /pet get lost while casting? Then shift+up to recycle the command on subsequent casts.
