Default Remove Loading Music?

I like to log my characters out just to character select when Im going to be doing other stuff on my computer. This makes it pretty awful to have the EQ music on, but Id like to have it active while in game.

Is there any way to delete the loading music files, or replace them with blank audio files? Is this going to get me banned for some ridiculous reason?

Thanks!

In your main EQ directory, the filename is: eqtheme.mp3

You can delete/rename/move it or replace it with something else

Removed the .mp3 and now a midi song has replaced it. Its a lot less awful, but I'm looking for no sound during loading / character select.

Any way to accomplish this?

I used a sound editor and saved the eqtheme.mp3 at about 10% volume. Didnt realize removing it would kick in the midi version. Theres some other things to try though...

Theres silent mp3s out there and could try using one to replace the eqtheme.mp3

Heres a site with some: http://duramecho.com/Misc/SilentCd
