I really don't like low or no carb diets.

You know that old addage about CrossFit and vegans... I feel like its died down on those and now its keto.. Lol

Just eat food, not too much, mostly vegetables. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Speaking of carbs, baked some cupcakes today. Replaced 1/3 of the sugar with strawberry jam (I believe you call that jelly?) and didn't ice (frost?) them.

Instead I halved them and served them with a smear of jam and some butter. Tasty!

Was very pleased that the experiment worked well!

Why are carbs exceptionally good energy compared to other macronutrients?

They aren’t.

they're not worse and they are more practical, orders of magnitude cheaper, easier on the environment, and generally do not involve the torture and slaughter of feeling beings.

Career gains or fired?

@shoes that was an interesting exposé on jelly vs jam.

I actually tried this experiment as I wanted to clear out some cheap jam I had (only 33g/100g prepared fruit content).

I know the way things work here is the lower the fruit content the more the sugar (they just replace fruit with sugar) so just using the jam as a sugar substitute seemed passable.
