eqclient.ini question/help
Hello,
is it possible to manually create hotkeys by entering the instructions via eqclient.ini? My problem is unique in that I cannot create and/or alter hotkeys in game. So, I was wondering, would it be possible to create them outside of the game and embed them in the ini i mentioned so that when I log on they will be available for my use. If this is possible, what would the code look like and where would i need to place it in the file? Thanks! | ||

Yes it is possible.. just open the .ini file with Notepad and press CTRL+F and look for something like "Forward" it will take you to the appropriate part of the file. Edit the keys you want and save.
Make sure to restart the game.. it only reads the ini file on boot.

Sure can, in your charactername_project1999.ini file.
There are 10 pages of hotkeys available with up to 12 keys per page. Each button can have up to five lines of commands on it. Page1Button1Name= Page1Button1Color= Page1Button1Line1= Page1Button1Line2= Page1Button1Line3= Page1Button1Line4= Page1Button1Line5= Next button would be: Page1Button2xxxx up to Page10Button12xxxx This is what my CH rotation key looks like in my .ini file: Page1Button10Name=rotCH Page1Button10Color=0 Page1Button10Line1=/gu #1 CH -- ♥ %T ♥ -- #1 Page1Button10Line2=/cast 6 Page1Button10Line3=/cast 6 Page1Button10Line4=/cast 6 Text you see on the hotkey: Page1Button10Name=rotCH Color of the text on the key (optional): Page1Button10Color=0 This sends a msg to /gu: Page1Button10Line1=/gu #1 CH -- ♥ %T ♥ -- #1 Spell gem #6 is my CH: Page1Button10Line2=/cast 6 Recast of CH in case of a fizzle: Page1Button10Line3=/cast 6 3rd recast just because I'm like that: Page1Button10Line4=/cast 6
