Rooting mobs has its cost, but at least it can prevent adds.

Well, and the spear from VP. But yeah, snaring isn't exactly our strong suit.

The clicky ball of yarn is pretty easy to quest if you just want an emergency item in bag.

Oo! Nice, I didn't know about that snare weap. But that solution will only be available to a limited slice of the shaman playerbase.

Tsuchang, what problem are you trying to solve? Preventing runners?

Yup on preventing runners. I can root em again but, I like the way snare makes them stop moving and attacking back when they drop below 20 hp.
