Default Mouseover tooltip randomly stopped working

It used to work like this: I hover my courser over a spell, or a buff, and a small text box would appear showing what the spell or buff is. Yesterday it stopped doing that and I've tried all kinds of stuff trying to fix it. I'm guessing I pushed the wrong key at some point of something. I tried going into options and pushing the "allow context menus" button. I tried restarting EQ, tried restarting my computer... I just don't know what to do anymore. Has anyone else had this problem? It's really frustrating because I'm so used to doing it that way

This is a known bug.

It tends to fix itself when it happens to most folks if one reboots the computer. (Not just log out, log in...actual complete shut down of your entire system.)

Have you tried to see if the bug happens on another EQemu server?

This is usually related to a pending Windows update that you need to run.
