so like, were they made to explode or not? What were they made of? Is it bloodless protest, treason, or something in between like real explosives but no detonators? I haven't read any articles about this so please let me know

I just think it's interesting.

The media has been hyping this story up while they showed the ricin event for like 10 minutes and moved on.

The same thing happened with the baseball field shooting and yet now Democrats are concerned about civility. Hillary Clinton just got done stating we cannot be civil with Republicans until Democrats are in power, but she changes her tune real fast as soon as this happens.
