Default fullscreen returning to windowed mode

Hello,
always if i alt/TAB between windows my game window returns from fullscreen to windowed mode and i have to switch back in my options.

Is there a way to prevent this to happen?

Thanks in advance

I use a program called Borderless Gaming. I set EQ to windowed mode 1920 x 1080 (or whatever your desktop res is), then hit fullscreen in borderless gaming, and it works.

That's the most alt-tab friendly way I know. Alt-tabbing is absolutely no problem at all with this setup.

Not sure if there is a clear way to avoid it other than using something like Fungus mentioned, but to avoid going through options you can simply alt+enter to bring the game back to fullscreen.
