Default adding "patchme" in 64x windows 7

I cannot figure out how to change a file`s path name on my windows 7. (so that i can change my eqgame to add patchme). The only option I have is to change the program and/or file it points to which does me no good. In the past I just changed the file on my xp computer and put ran it from an external so I know it works on this windows 7 computer but I don`t have my external at the moment. Does anyone have any ideas?

I have turned my UAC all the way down and still nothing.

I have searched a bit for an answer on here and google and for some reason I can`t find it even though it seems to be a simple issue.

use installer app in my signature and pick the CPU fix. It will create a proper shortcut for you on your desktop.

I tried that it created one that ends in runeq.bat which takes me to the regular game... Maybe I am missing an install step on this computer.

edit... I changed my eqhost file... doh, now I can see that i have 25/25 expansions but no servers to select... will keep working on it.

Got it working, just had to open EQ a few times.

Thanks a lot for the quick response!
