It definitely was, which is why my favorite disney movie is still The fox and the hound which came out at the height of those types of disney movies and is completely devoid of that trope. The lesson of the movie is basically "look, sometimes you can't be friends", it's fuckin brutal.

I don't know if I have a favorite animated Disney movie. I've never been big on Disney. I was always a Looney Tunes guy over Disney and the animated Disney movies and characters never really appealed to me.

I'm actually struggling to think of which movie I like the most. Maybe Aladdin because of Robin Williams.

Yeah Aladdin and the Lion king have the best music. Fox and the hound is the most interesting story imo cause it doesn't exactly have a happy resolution. I just miss the hand drawn animation, it's a fun craft to appreciate. Everything now is all beep-boop CGI'ed out the ass.
