Yes most quests were nerfed because players abused it

not classic

but it is what it is, a custom project

you could play aradune, or should i say wait in que to play with all those stay at home sons for the most non classic experience ever
I think you misunderstood my question. I asked if it was actually proven and people had evidence. Not whether you personally have some random vague memory of it being a certain way. As an aside, I don’t know what your issue with the newbie zones would be right now...there’s barely anyone in them, not like there’s competition for spawns.

The quest turn ins, according to the devs, were giving out values that were higher than what they were in classic and they said they had evidence for that. I’m not a big fan of the nerds in general but if the devs say it’s classic then I can’t complain about it.

From what I understand the client used has no impact on how a zone's mobs is populated? All those databases were made from scratch.

What's this crap about "the original newbie zones had 5x as many spawns"? That's absolutely not true, there was overcrowding happening in newbie yards back in classic, definitely people waiting around for something to kill during peak population hours. GFay in particular could be horrendously overcrowded.
